Tuesday, February 5, 9:30am, LH, Great Pond SF, Simsbury postponed to 2/12 due to the weather

Meet at the Great Pond SF parking lot, off Great Pond Rd. NW of Hopbrook/Laurel Lane.  We can walk around the pond.  Bring traction devices and snowshoes since the trail conditions are uncertain at this time of year.  Besides circling the pond, there are other side trails, so we can probably hike till about noon.  Click here for map & description. Sunday, February 17, 1:30pm. SG, Winter Tree Identification Hike

All hikes are open to the public. Hike will leave from the bulletin board at the Sleeping Giant Park entrance on the north side of Mt. Carmel Avenue in northern Hamden, about 0.5 mile east of Whitney Avenue. Hikers should wear comfortable, supportive shoes and bring snacks and water, as desired. No pets, please.
