We will do the Agnes Bowen Trail to the Robert Ross, and then proceed on the Jessie Gerard Trial to the beautiful Grand Vista and Chaugham overlooks. Meet at the Matthies Grove picnic area parking lot, on E. River Rd. about 1.1 mile N of the Rt. 181 bridge. CWB map AL/PE-1. L: Len Berton

Off Rt 71A S, take a right onto West Lane, and follow to Ragged Mtn. Preserve sign to park. (Parking is limited, so please form carpools.) Anticipate possible later than usual completion time. This loop has steep and rocky places. But there are lots of beautiful overlooks as a reward. CWB map ME-3b. L: Len Berton

In conjunction with the Burlington Land Trust annual meeting, we will do an easy 3.4 mile loop on the mainline and orange-dot Tunxis Trails. Then if time permits before the BBQ lunch and BLT meeting, we may visit some Sessions Woods attractions such as the duck blind on Beaver Pond. We will continue our journey north on the Appalachian Trail in Vermont and hike the Stratton Mt. section. The hike will be about 10 miles so pack lots of food and water. Meet at 7:15 am in the parking lot of the International Skating Center on Rt. 10 in Simsbury. Anticipate a return time between 8:00 and 9:00 pm.. L: Marie Coons
