Thursday, November 3, 8:45am, FCE, White Memorial Conservation Center, Litchfield

Meet at the Center. Travel W on Rte. 202, and 2.1 miles after the intersection of Rte. 63 turn L onto Bissell Rd., and then immediately R onto Whitehall Rd. Continue 0.5 mile to the gravel parking area. Thursday, November 10, 8:45 a.m., FCE Hike, Crescent Pond/ Metacomet Trail-Bradley Mt., Plainville/Southington

Meet in the Crescent Pond (aka Plainville Reservoir) parking lot on Shuttlemeadow Rd, Southington. From Farmington Center take RT 10 south, bear left onto Cooke St., left onto Rt. 372, right onto Crooked St.; at the end, right on Woodford Ave., left on Ledge Rd., and follow Ledge Rd. even as it changes its name to Shuttlemeadow Rd. (now you are in Southington). The hike will go up the ridge on the south side of Crescent Pond, meet with the Metacomet, go north to the Bradley Mtn area, returning via a trail on the north side of Crescent Pond. Meet at the West Simsbury Shopping Center on Farms Village Rd (Rte. 309). From Farmington and points South, take Rte. 167 N to Stratton Brook Rd. Go L and continue to the light at Farms Village Rd. Go L and the shopping center is on your right.  We will car pool to the School and hike the red, white and blue trails.
