AUGUST 2012 SCHEDULE Monday, August 13, 1pm, BLT, Fish Hatchery Loop, Burlington This is the fourth hike of a 5-hike series co-sponsored by the Burlington Land Trust and the Parks & Rec Department. The hikes will increase in difficulty in order to prepare you for the grand hike through beautiful Devil’s Kitchen (a natural box canyon) near the Nassahegan Forest. Hikes are 1 - 2 hours. Fee: $11 at trail head. Rain dates announced as needed. Fish hatchery loop across from Nassahegan Forest. Meet at parking lot across from the soccer field. Difficulty: moderate. The hikes will increase in difficulty in order to prepare you for the grand hike through beautiful Devil’s Kitchen (a natural box canyon) near the Nassahegan Forest. Hikes are 1 - 2 hours. L: Stephanie Schad JUNE 2012 SCHEDULE Saturday, June 2, 9am, BLT, CT Trails Day Hike, Brower Pond/Mile of Ledges, Burlington First, a short walk on the new BLT trail along the shore of the pond. Then on to the Tunxis Trail's challenging Mile of Ledges leading to the Tory Den. Total about 3 hours/4 miles. Meet on Greer Road near the pond. Click here for more details. L: Stephanie Schad Thursday, June 7, 8:45am, FCE, Tunxis Loop, Burlington Meet on Mountain Spring Rd. just off Rt 4 in Burlington to do a Tunxis Mainline (Blue) & Punch Brook Trail (Purple Dot) loop.
